GROUP Mentoring Package for Pediatric Occupational Therapy Practitioners.
This program is an extension of our best-selling pediatric OT primer courses.
Mentoring from Cara Koscinski, MOT, OTR/L working toward a doctorate in occupational therapy. Over 22 years of experience and parent to two children with autism. Cara speaks professionally across the US at state and national conferences.
Weekly Topics will be discussed weekly via one-hour webinar sessions with OT participation and engagement with question and answer sessions. Participants will also receive weekly e-mails reviewing information discussed during the live courses.
We will only accept small groups of therapists to ensure personal attention. Personal mentoring is available, please click here for available services.
This session begins OCTOBER 11. Live sessions will be recorded and available on-demand. If you cannot attend each THURSDAY beginning October, 11. You may send in questions for Cara to address in the session.
Sessions are from 8:30-9:30 pm EST
October 11 WEEK ONE: Assessment and goal setting. IEP, 504 plans, outpatient reports, evaluation across pediatric settings. Treatment planning
October 18 WEEK TWO: Dealing with behavior issues. Sensory vs. behavior, interoception, and mindfulness/trauma-informed strategies
October 25 WEEK THREE: Activities in clinic and schools to engage multiple sensory systems with and without suspension equipment.
November 1 WEEK FOUR: Handwriting grips, goals, treatment ideas. Dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dyslexia as well as other writing and postural concerns with seated fine motor table-top tasks.
